MSc student Roberta Gonzales – Summer research pamphlet
Summer 2025
Pamphlets were distributed to residents who participated in the study, with a personalized list of bird species detected in their backyard through acoustic recordings. Each pamphlet included species illustrations, fun facts about each one, and tips for creating a more bird-friendly backyard, providing participants with an engaging way to learn about the birds found in their own outdoor spaces.
The Anna’s hummingbird seen on the cover page of the pamphlet was hand drawn by Roberta.
